Our work procedure for projects with documentation may differ according
to the character of the project. Below is the work procedure for a general translation project. It is relatively simple and is based on a logical flow of activities:
- Analysis of the project (ascertainment of requirements, format, languages, deadlines, price specification, the offer, documentation and planning).
- Client verification (verification of the above-mentioned items with
the client, final approval of the offer and time schedule). - Basic preparation of the files (list and preparation of files for translation, preparation of translation memories, conversion of images, etc.).
- Team meeting (meeting of members of the executive team and list
of obligations approved during the analysis of the project, internal planning and list of sources). - Preparation of translation memory (production of the glossary for
the project, list of previous translations, reference materials from the client, standard glossaries, etc.). - Translation (translation of the text by a professional translator who is
a native speaker of the target language). - Proofreading (proofreading of the text by a professional bilingual prooferader).
- Language proofreading for the quality (the second proofreading for completeness, numerical data, formatting, conversions, uniformity, etc.).
- DTP/formatting (resulting appearance of the text in the correct format).
- Editing after graphic work (checking the appearance of the text by a native speaker to ensure that after the graphic work there are no problems or mistakes in the text and that no text is missing).
